Solution to “Web server down” Cloudflare error when setting up CNAME for Backblaze B2 bucket.

This article is for people who forgot to check their SSL/TLS settings in Cloudflare when following Backblaze’s official documentation 🤣
In setting up this blog I opted to use Backblaze B2 and proxy it with Cloudflare. In setting up the friendly URL for B2, once I configured it with Cloudflare I encountered a Cloudflare “Web server down” 521 error.
But I swear I configured it correctly. I checked it over and over again and I didn’t find anything wrong with it. I pasted the CNAME content into my browser and it redirected to Backblaze as expected. The reality is that I clicked off the article because I did not want to configure transform rules and I figured the article was over. A mistake on my part.
It’s your SSL settings if you input the friendly url correctly. There. Comment if I helped you I guess.
You can find the friendly URL for your Backblaze B2 bucket by going into Backblaze’s “Browse Files” section and clicking on a file. The format you should paste it in is “f00x.backblazeb2.com” where x is whatever number that your bucket has in place of it. If you typed that correctly, then it’s SSL/TLS.
Backblaze B2 does not support HTTP, only HTTPS.
